Adel is a true Outback crossroads: a school, a handful of ranches, and the famous Adel Store & Café, which serves as gas station, grocery, post office, grill, and gathering spot for the whole eastern county.
From here the Warner Highway climbs toward Hart Mountain and the wetlands of the Warner Valley — some of the best birding and wide-open country in Oregon.
